Consciousness was a cloying, awful taste in Izuku’s mouth and a wall of sound. Loud and chaotic, guttural snarls, sharp hisses, and skittering clicks filled the air all at once. Then, Katsuki’s voice. Human and ragged, roaring above the din.
“BACK THE FUCK OFF. I’LL FUCKING KILL YOU.”
The sound was a hook in the dark, pulling Izuku up further from the depths of drudge oblivion. Sensation rushed in, cold and brutal. There was a hard, unyielding chill underneath Izuku against his backside and limbs. A deep nauseating throb pulsed behind his right ear.
A jolt of realization shot through him as he tried to blink open his sluggish eyes.
Izuku was on his back. Naked.
His hands were splayed above his head in an angle that suggested he’d been dragged, then dropped, at some point. And something was brushing just on either side of his hips.
